Inception Tops Box Office Once More But Did You Get the Ending?
Christopher Nolan’s Inception has officially been the number one movie for three weeks running but there has been much debate about the ending. It wouldn’t be a good movie without a clever cliffhanger right? The movie is about Dom Cobb(Leonardo Dicaprio) the extractor who goes into people’s dreams to extract information from them. Dom’s world changed when his wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) died and he was blamed due his involvement in the dream world causing him to not be able to return to the U.S. and see his children. An offer is made by a client who wants to topple a major energy company; in exchange Dom’s record would be cleared and he can go home. I loved the way the movie made you feel just like the characters not knowing at times if this sequence was a dream or real. I want to say that the entire cast did a great job. Leonardo has a fine career going as does Marion Cotillard and it was nice to see Ellen Page get a good role that is out of the Juno shadow. I am not going to spoil the ending here but I will say that it makes for a great alternate ending feature for the DVD. If you have not seen Inception then go see it. One of the summer’s movie hilights.
