Rio De Janeiro Will Host 2016 Summer Olympics
Even though President Obama and the First Lady lobbied hard, Chicago was eliminated from becoming the Olympics’ 2016 host city and the honor was given to Rio De Janero, Brazil . New York and D.C. both previously lost out on the bid for the 2012 Olympics. 1996 was the last time the summer Olympics were hosted here and now it will be at least another 20 years before it’s hosted here again.
