Networks Unveil Their FAll '09 Schedules

It’s that time of year again where the networks unveil their schedules for the new season as the current season comes to a end. Look below to find out which shows will be returning or not and what new shows are coming to the tube. Returning shows with time changes are in red, new shows to the networks are in bold. Returning shows but on a new network are in purple.

CBS ’09 Fall Schedule

The big news of this line besides time slot changes for a few of the popular shows, as NBC cancelled Medium CBS picked up the drama and added to Friday nights. While Fridays are considered the end of the line for returning shows, I see it as CBS testing the waters.  New shows includes a CSI USA in the making with NCIS: Los Angeles The Good Wife.

NBC ’09 Fall Schedule

Jay Leno makes his primetime debut with his own show M-F ahead of his predicessor Conan who premieres on the Tonight show June 1. Althought good ratings Southland is moved to dreaded Friday and SNL becomes a semi weekly primtime series replacing My Name is Earl. Also moved to dreaded Friday is Law and Order after 20 years. New to NBC is Trauma, with losing ER this season NBC is going for a replacement.

What’s big this upcoming season is their Wednesday night line up which unveils a group of new action shows to ABC and new comedy Cougar Town.  Super Nanny survives and moves in Wife Swaps time slot at  8p.m.
