Plus, all the drama that NBC is making won't help negotiations. The movie industry won't be affected for a while, because they have 300+ scripts stockpiled and tons of nonunion actors willing to work. Technically, union actors (under SAG, AFTRA, Equity, etc.) can't really strike because their contract doesn't expire until June 2008. The strike most likely will last into 2008 (the last strike in 1988 lasted almost six months!). Plus, all the drama that NBC is making won’t help negotiations.
